I just recently joined BzzzAgent. I have just received my first product to test out. It is the new Glade Expressions. I love it!! You should defiantly try them out!!

Cinnamon Roll Cake

Here is another Pinterest tested recipe I tried yesterday it’s a Cinnamon Roll Cake. I changed up the recipe a bit. It calls for three sticks of butter, I didn’t have that much butter so I substituted for margarine. I also changed up the topping and glaze a bit. So here you have my rendition of this recipe:

Cake:
3 Cups of flour
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 Cup sugar
4 teaspoon baking powder
1 1/2 Cups of milk
2 eggs
2 teaspoon of vanilla
1/2 Cup margarine, meltedTopping:
1/2 Cup margarine, softened
1/2 Cup brown sugar
1 TBS. flour
1TBS. cinnamonMix dry ingredients in mixing bowl, mix eggs milk and vanilla in another. Start mixer on low and pour milk and eggs in until blended. Then slowly stir in melted margarine and pour into a greased 9×13 pan. For the topping, mix all the ingredients together until well combined. Drop evenly over the batter and swirl with a knife. Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutesGlaze:
1 Cup powdered sugar
3 TBS. milk
1 teaspoon vanillaWhile warm drizzle the glaze over the cake.

Grilled Pizza

My family and I love pizza, who doesn’t?!?!? I usually make my own pizza at home. This year we even started using the grill to make it. It’s very easy and very tasty. But I can’t stress enough it’s all in the prep work. You MUST be prepared with all your items before your dough hits the grill. Grilling pizza goes very fast and very easy to burn.Here are the steps I used.

1. A few hours before making the pizza I minced up garlic to infuse my olive oil. You will be brushing the dough with oil so it doesnt stick to the grill. So why not add another layer of flavor?!?!

2. I used store-bought pizza dough and cut into thirds to make personal sized pizza.

(I really want to try to make my own dough next time, I’ll keep you posted on how it comes out.)

3. Using flour I rolled out and stretched to dough. Placing them on a tray dusted with flour and wax paper in between each little pizza.

4. Gather up all ingredients. This part is personal preference. We use sauce, cheese, grilled veggies, ham, salami, pepperoni, leftover grilled chicken, and  BBQ sauce(instead of red sauce, my son prefers this.) Don’t forget your olive oil too.

5. Make sure your gill is hot. We turn the grill down to  low heat so the dough cooks through and doesn’t burn. Brush one side of the dough with the garlic infused olive oil. Place on the grill and brush the other side of the dough. Close lid and put a timer on for two minutes. After the two minutes check dough to see if it needs to be flipped. It should have nice grill markings on it.

6. As soon as your turn your pizza top your pizza with your desired toppings.

7. Shut the lid and put the timer on for another two minutes and check, cheese should be melted and the crust should have nice grill marks.

YUMM!!

No Cook Pizza Sauce

I usually make pizza for my family and I at least once a month. I have been using this recipe ever since I got married about six years ago for my pizza sauce. It’s great! Who wants to cook sauce before making pizza?!?! This recipe so quick, easy, and fresh tasting you’ll love it too.

 
                                                      No Cook Pizza Sauce
 

1 Can of Pastene Chunky Tomatoes

1TBS. Sugar

1TBS. Garlic Powder

1TBS. Oregano

Dash of Italian Seasoning

Salt and Pepper to taste

Mix all ingredients together, that’s all!!

Make sure you taste the sauce before putting it on your pizza. You might need more seasoning or more sugar for a sweeter sauce if you like.

Grilled Potatoes

OMG!!! You must try these grilled potatoes they are so easy and sooo amazing!! Here are the steps I used for grilling the potatoes.

Step 1. Par-boil your potatoes. I kept checking them with a knife to see if they were tender. You do not want to over cook the potatoes while boiling because you are going to finish cooking them on the grill. I did around 8-10 minutes. You still want them firm enough to handle with out crumbling.

Step 2. Next you want to cut up the potatoes in to nice big wedges. You don’t want them too little they break or fall thru the grill grates.

Step 3. Mix the potatoes in a large boil with enough olive oil to coat them. Then sprinkle on your favorite seasoning. I used some steak seasoning.

Step 4. Place on grill. Turning every few minutes browning each side

And here you have it!! Perfect grilled potatoes!!!

These tasted like they came from a resturant. They were a huge hit at my house and I’m sure they will be a huge hit at your house if you try them too!!

Egg Salad

I know, I know how hard can eggs salad be to make. But apparently in my little world I had no idea you could add other ingredients besides mayo. And how hard is it to boil eggs??? Well I always though I was pretty decent at it, but every time I went to peel my hard-boiled eggs the shell would stick. I honestly don’t know what I would do with out Pinterest, I found this little tip while perusing the site, if you add a touch of baking soda to your eggs when you boil them the shells will peel right off. When pan starts to boil shut it off and set timer for 10 mins. When the timer goes off run under cool water. You end up with eggs that peel easy with perfect yellow centers.It’s AMAZING!!! It REALLY WORKS!!!

Now how exciting is egg salad with just mayo???? While reading a Facebook post that someone wrote about egg salad I was shocked to find out that other people add other stuff to it. Who doesn’t love sweet relish and mustard?? I DO! I DO! So why not try it. It was FANTASTIC!!!

I only use Hellmann’s because it really does BRING OUT THE BEST!!

I use an egg slicer to cut my eggs up into perfect cubes.

I made 10 eggs, so I did about 2TBS. each of mustard, mayo, and relish.

And here you have it, The Perfect Egg Salad!!!!

Father’s Day Fiesta!!!!

As you read in my prior post I like to bake or cook my husband something special for holidays or special occasions. So this father’s day I made him a FANTASTIC breakfast (in my opinion :)) So Since we had a huge breakfast I decided to make a late lunch/early dinner. So being his special day I cooked what he loved, fajitas. Now since it is grilling season I try to grill outside whenever we can. So I thought to myself why not fajitas on the grill. So this is how I did it.

The night before I marinated the chicken using McCormick Grill Mates Mexican Fiesta Chicken.

I followed the recipe on the back, water, apple cider vinegar, vegetable oil and season packet.

I let it sit in the refrigerator over night.

So the day of I prepared my vegetables to be cooked outside on the grill. I mixed olive oil with a bit of steak seasoning and brushed it on the vegetables.

I skewered the onions so they would be easier to flip and grill for about 15 minutes.

After the vegetables and chicken were both cooked. I sliced the chicken up and prepared my fillings (grilled vegetables and cheese) for the grill.

Flipping each fajita only after a minute on each side your ready to EAT!!!

YUMTASIC!!!! I served it with a little Spanish Rice.

There was even enough left overs that I chopped up a piece of chicken and some onions and mixed it with the rice for my husbands lunch the next day!!
